Plain Paisley

I used a stamp set from Basic Grey called Lace Paisley for this card. The sentiment is from Penny Black – Mimi in Paris.

All the paisley’s are embossed in different colors and its probably one of my favorite techniques (out of many of course!) I’ve added a little rhinestone on the smallest one in the upper right hand corner to give it a little bit of texture/dimension πŸ™‚

I saw a card on a blog a little while ago and it was just plain white card with rhinestones scattered. Almost similar to the way my images are aligned. It looked much better than mine of course! I don’t know why, but I can’t seem to work a plain white card. Mine always end up looking unfinished or amateur.

Tips anyone???

  1. OOhhh great take on the sketch! Love your choice of colours for the paisleys πŸ™‚
I have no tips on working plain card base sorry, mine look amateur. I have found cutting a panel slightly smaller than the base and working on that, then adding it to the base with foam dots to slightly raise it can be quite effective. Thanks so much for playing along at feeling sketchy this week πŸ™‚
