FFF: Watercolor Paint Attempt #1

This is my very first attempt on water coloring and boy, I’m pretty amazed with the turnout!! As you’re reading this I’m already on my second attempt with the water color paint! On top of the paint I also used some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to add a pearl effect. Ā Unfortunately the glimmer cannot really be seen in the photos. Ā I really tried!!

I’ve used the sentiment from The Greeting FarmĀ Lucky BunniesĀ set. Ā TheĀ Ribbon Banner DieĀ is from My Favorite Things,Ā Scalloped RectanglesĀ is from Spellbinders and lastly the design papers are from My Mind’s Eye. Oh! And gems are from Want 2 Scrap!

I found that stamping the sentiment wasn’t good enough after water coloring and misting, so I used clear embossing powder to make the sentiment pop! Really darkens the black ink making it stand out.

Hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did!

It’s been a few weeks since I participated in the challenges over at Splendid Stamping and thought its a perfect day to whip out the good ol TGF stamps!

Ive used Nahla from the Roll Call WS Collection #1 and paper pieces her overalls and the bow on her pigtails.

I used the sketch from Double Take Tuesday:

There is one thing different Ive used and its the black ink. I recently switched over (trial stage) to Stewart Superior Noir Black Palette and so far so good! I still find that Versafine gives a better crisp black line for the stamped image. But after all the coloring you don’t really notice it as much. I know tons of my fellow crafters use Memento Dye ink and recommends it. I guess I’m just picky with my black crispy lines šŸ™‚ I find that the Memento Ink doesn’t give a nice image for my TGF stamps. However, on fine lined images like Magnolia you can’t tell the difference at all. I did a product comparison post a while back if you would like to see the difference between Memento and Versafine (here).

I’ve used following products:
Spellbinders – Classic Postage Stamp, Fancy Flourish, Fancy Framed Tags Two (some new things I recently added to my collection!)
My Mind’s Eye – Lost and Found Two: Blush 6×6 Paper Pad
TGF – Roll Call Kit Collection #1
Copics – Hair: E79, E77, E74, E71 / Shirt: R27, R24

It’s been a week or two since I last submitted an entry over at Splendid Stamping. This week’s theme for FFF is Birthday and DTT is color theme of red, teal and green. Beautiful colors šŸ™‚

I’ve used the stamp set Sitting Cute (available in my online store!) and the birthday sentiment is from Penny Blacks’ Birthday Critter set.

Embossed Bunny

Here’s my take on stamping with no ink. Well. Embossing ink does not count as “ink” for this challenge. I really need to remind myself that I cannot emboss properly with texture paper because I got flecks all over the place. Now I have a freckled bunny šŸ˜¦
